Serving on numerous local boards & committees through the years, I believe in working for this community. Serving as an elected Brevard City Council member from 2003-2007, I understand the demands, obligations, commitments & responsibility public service requires.
We need jobs. We need economic development.We need leaders & decision makers. Major decisions concerning the use of existing government buildings, potential infrastructure expansion & investments in education will be facing the commission in the next few years.
Tight budgets will be the norm. Shrinking revenues & increasing needs will require difficult decisions. Meeting the needs of this community in the short term as well as planning for & investing in the future is the responsibility of local government.
I would like to bring my background, experiences, common sense, business education & commitment to public service to the County Commission. We will be laying the groundwork for Transylvania County’s next 150 years. |
